Oral history interview with Kelsang Namdrol, an ordained nun in the New Kadampa Tradition and director of the Kalpa Bhadra Kadampa Buddhist Center in Wichita, Kansas. This interview was conducted on June 19, 2015, at Kalpa Bhadra in Wichita, Kansas. This interview includes discussion of Namdrol’s history with the New Kadampa Tradition, her own story of becoming Buddhist and ordination, her thoughts on meditation, and her interaction in the interfaith community. This interview was conducted for the Religion in Kansas Project as part of a summer fieldwork internship funded by the Friends of the Department of Religious Studies.
