Description

In the summer of 2013, Religion in Kansas Project intern Emily Stratton began a fieldwork project to document a contemporary phenomenon within the American evangelical movement known as "church planting." Over the course of her project, Emily recorded oral history interviews with several Kansas-based church planters, documented the worship services and ministries of a variety of planted churches, and compiled a compendium of resources, including church websites and church planters' bibliographies, that explore this major trend within American evangelicalism.
